Keyword Coverage is the most important thing when beginning a SEO project.
It’s also 100% vital and can’t be skipped if you’re looking for AI Visibility and if you want ChatGPT to recommend your brand. That’s why this blog post will focus on how this helps AEO / GEO. Yes, it will sound to you a lot like SEO tactics or ideas you may have thought about, but there is a clear difference because you haven’t seen it like this. Follow along.
If you have a website with 400 pages … how many of them received traffic during the last 30 days?
Study : All Traffic.
THEN : study solely traffic from Google Search Console.
If only 10 pages get traffic from SEO (meaning: organic traffic / visits from search engines), that is a bad signal.
10 out of 400 means something needs to be fixed asap.
For those who stay many months with AISQ Growth, we aim to drive these up to 80% coverage of the total. That’s the minimum we aim for.
320 pages with organic traffic out of 400 total pages.
Now, we are obviously doing a lot to make that happen, but what YOU should personally aim for is 50%.
You need to look at keyword coverage as a percentage, because it’s a clear way to assess if Google and Bing think “the site has issues; I don’t trust this stuff enough to rank it constantly”.
If the site reaches 50% it already starts having some stability.
And you need that stability for AI search. If you can’t be found on search engines, then ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude also can’t find you. If they can’t know about you, they will NOT recommend you.
You can bypass this by doing all the work on social media that I have been teaching you about during GEO Academy and also during the 14 Days Journey to GEO.
But… if you want real presence, you won’t focus only on the bypass and you’ll do your best to get the keyword coverage right.
